I am a literature major, so I was super excited to study in a city with a long legacy of celebrated authors. At King’s, I registered for two English Literature modules: “First World War Literature” and “US Slavery and the Literary Imagination.”
I arrived in central London with my whole semester packed in two suitcases and listening to the chaotic hubbub of the city streets, I felt both excited and overwhelmed. London is one of the most iconic places in the world and I wanted to make the most of my time here.

King’s is a fantastic institution in which to study abroad, especially if you seek to gain independence during your experience. London, obviously, is a wonderful city in which to live with easy access to virtually all types of activity on offer, food not available at ‘home,’ people from all over the world, and so many more fun experiences to find. I found it ideal to be in a city that is so young and busy while simultaneously boasting so much history around every corner.

A major benefit of King’s College London is the its central London location. The campuses have a fair spread so in making use of the different campuses, libraries, and fitness centers you get a chance to get to know central London well.
