- Activities which work with a larger group of more than 40 students in the room.

- Activities for small groups or pairs (2-10 students).
- Activities where each student can potentially work independently.
This is a tricky way of filtering but we’ve done our best. Some activities scale up or down in which case you will find them in each category. Some can entail large groups of students each working independently – Minute Paper is in both the ‘large group’ and ‘independent’ categories. These are rough numbers, too – you may find exceptions or think of creative ways to adapt the guides. We’d love to hear from you if you do.
