Where the activity involves physical movement, the kind of room you are allocated is important. The following collections of guides respond to different constraints with physical teaching spaces.
- Flexible spaces – activities which need configurable space and movable furniture*.
- Fixed spaces – activities which can, if necessary, take place in lecture theatres with bench seating, or which can be adapted to accommodate fixed seating.
- Spaces with tables – activities which require, or are better with, work surfaces which accommodate groups.
*Where an activity needs flexible spaces, we are investigating whether digital technologies might enable them in more restricted spaces.
