King’s Careers’ Insights Programme

If you are a final year undergraduate and have no idea what you will do after your degree, do not miss enrolling onto our Insights Programme

The King’s Careers & Employability team has designed a refreshed suite of extracurricular activities available to final year undergraduates willing to investigate different sectors and roles.

These work opportunities will run throughout the academic year and include:

  • Business Treks on week commencing 30th October
  • Work-Shadowing in April
  • Virtual Micro Internships (Practera) in February
  • Virtual Consultancy Projects (Practera) in June
  • Virtual Work Simulation (The Forage) throughout the year at your own pace
  • Bespoke Events throughout the year

We actively encourage and welcome students from traditionally under-represented communities in UK Higher Education to apply, with the aim to make the Insights Programme as inclusive as possible.

For more information, explore our Insights Programme opportunities on KEATS.

Eligibility

Places are limited, so this programme is only available to final year undergraduate students who have:

  • Minimal work experience in their target future graduate career
  • Little to no knowledge of what they want to do post-graduation of their current course of study

What skills will I gain?

By completing the opportunities offered through the Insights Programme, you will gain meaningful work experience, broaden your career horizons and boost your confidence. You will also make connections with reputable employers and alumni while developing your employability skills as you explore different sectors and roles.

Gaining an award

At the end of the year we will also organise an Insights Celebration Event where you may receive an award, recognising your completion of the programme, if you have undertaken at least three activities throughout the year and if you fulfil the award requirements.

How do I enrol in the Insights Programme?

Complete this application form which should take you less than 15 minutes. Additionally, all eligible students will receive specific information about how to apply to the Insights Programme by email, directly to your KCL inbox.
