Charlene explains her career journey all the way from never considering a career in tech and completing a Maths degree, to garnering 15 years’ experience in software engineering and founding her own organisation.

Black Coding Females is a non-profit organisation with the primary aim of providing opportunities for Black female developers and is open to people with all levels of tech experience.

Using her experience in the industry, she also suggests some great places for students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in STEM to land top roles in tech.
