International Women’s Day is coming up on Friday 8 March 2019! The theme for this year is #BalanceforBetter, calling for a more gender-balanced world. To promote this campaign, individuals are posting images with the hashtag and striking a pose with their hands out 🤷♀️
To celebrate International Women’s Day at King’s, there are several events on campus that aim to encourage women and their careers. Here are a few to sign-up to if you haven’t already!
Women in Finance Speed Networking Night

Come and hear the real-life stories of women making their careers in the Financial Services industry. This event is hosted by the King’s Business School and aims to promote diversity within graduate recruitment by providing a space for female students to find out more about careers in the finance industry.
GeogSoc Inspiring Women panel

In celebration of International Women’s Day, GeogSoc have invited inspiring female social science alumni to talk about their careers.

On the eve of International Women’s Day 2019, Innovation Forum at King’s College London will be celebrating advances in women’s health and technology. They are hosting a panel discussion with an audience Q&A aiming to combat taboos, increase awareness and promote gender equality.
