King’s Careers & Employability has specialist staff who provide support, resources, and events aimed specifically on the needs of postgraduate research students.
Access to all these services is free, and includes one-to-one advice, use of the library, and attendance at any career events and fairs. After your degree or contract finishes, you’ll be able to continue to use our services for up to two years.
As a postgraduate researcher you might need to:
1) talk through your career ideas at the moment and get help to develop a plan for your next steps;
2) look through a CV, application form, cover letter or personal statement with a careers specialist;
3) organise a practice interview to help develop your confidence and presentation skills for future employers.
If you are a postgraduate research student looking for any of these service, or any other careers advice, please contact your specialist Careers Consultant Donald Lush at donald.lush@kcl.ac.uk.
