Japan – with its pop culture, dense cities, mountains and incredible history – is full of opportunities. And The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is funding 8 UK students to study in Japan!
The Daiwa Scholarship is a 19-month programme designed to further UK-Japan links. You’ll study Japanese language for a year in Tokyo, live with a family for a month, and complete a 6-month work placement in anything from an NGO, to a think-tank, or an architecture firm.
King’s alum and Daiwa graduate Louis feels that the programme ‘went beyond ‘a good experience’ to become completely formative – it’s difficult to imagine how my life would have gone without it’.
And this is a common theme in Daiwa scholar testimonials – from career inspiration, to personal growth, solid friendships, and Japanese fluency, the Daiwa scholarship opportunity has changed lives.
To learn more, see what alumni have gone on to do, explore the crucial information about Daiwa, and learn what King’s graduate Andrew Jones has to say about his experiences.
If you’re ready for the challenge, then APPLY by 5th December, and make sure you read our application tips and interview advice!
