Huawei UK Seeds for the Future programme | Exciting scholarship opportunity for STEM students

Huawei are one of the world’s most innovative companies and a leading telecoms solutions provider with comprehensive strengths delivering fixed-line, wireless & IP technologies. They employ over 96,000 engineers globally and are passionate about the importance of science and innovation in delivering the products and services of tomorrow. They also want to foster a new generation of talent in the UK.

They are offering UK undergraduates – studying STEM or related disciplines (e.g. Science, Technology, Engineering,
Mathematics and Computing) the opportunity to participate in a 4-week online training programme in June and July 2022. During the programme, participants will have access to three weeks of bespoke live content covering a wide range of topics, from innovation in the UK to entrepreneurship in China; the role of 5G in transforming business models; as well as the role technology is playing in tackling climate change. The programme will culminate with 8 days of activities led by Huawei HQ in Shenzhen, where participants will have a chance to meet Seeds for the Future participants from other countries and to hear more about how Huawei operates as a global ICT business. Participants will also benefit from technical training from some of the finest professionals in the industry and will have access to virtual tours of Huawei’s state-of-the-art facilities in China.

To be considered for Huawei’s ‘Seeds for the Future’ programme in 2022, you will need to match the
following criteria:

• Be a UK national
• Be an undergraduate student studying a STEM or related discipline at a UK university
• Possess excellent academic acumen – ideally
with a strong interest in China and in Huawei, as well as technology and sustainability issues
