When is the Graduate careers & immigration options for Tier 4 students happening?
Did you miss our 31 January session of Graduate careers & immigration options for Tier 4 students? Fear not – we have scheduled repeat events on 28 February 2019 and 11 June 2019. Make sure to book your space on King’s CareerConnect.
What is this event all about and why should I attend it?
Graduate careers & immigration options for Tier 4 students is a joint effort, with speakers from both the King’s Visas and International Advice (VISA) Team (Specialist International Student Adviser Alan Smith) and King’s Careers & Employability (Careers Consultant Laura Oxley). As such the event will include information about various visas and how King’s can help you with your visa-related issues and queries. It will also discuss options for working in the UK after you finish your studies and how King’s Careers & Employability can support you in your job search – whether you are in the Discover, Focus, or Action phase of your career planning and employability development.
The event is aimed at students on a UK Tier 4 visa who are considering working in the UK after their studies, including undergraduate, Masters and PhD students. Alan will explain the current immigration rules and regulations for work after study, and Laura will explore ways to seek work in the UK and beyond, including brushing up your CV and tailoring it to the UK market. If you want to get a better idea about what the event is all about you can have a look at the slides from the 31 January session on KEATS.
Before attending the event it might be a good idea to get familiar with some of the careers support information already available, including our Careers support for international students information handout, the Working during your studies advice guide and the Support for International Students section on our website.
