Advancing AI in Cybersecurity: Insights from an International Event – Women of MENA in Technology

I was honored to be invited as a speaker and panelist at a prestigious international event in London, focusing on AI technologies and cybersecurity defense and offense. This event, organized by Nationwide Building Society, brought together leading experts in AI and cybersecurity to explore the transformative impact of AI on both defensive and offensive cyber strategies.

Exploring AI’s Impact on Cybersecurity

The event featured in-depth discussions on how AI is revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape. We delved into real-life examples of cyber threats and attacks, showcasing how AI technologies have played a pivotal role in mitigating these risks. From detecting sophisticated phishing attempts to predicting potential breaches, AI has significantly enhanced our ability to defend against cyber threats while also providing new tools for offensive cybersecurity measures.

Interactive Discussions and Networking

One of the highlights of the event was the interactive Q&A session, which facilitated profound discussions and allowed for the exchange of ideas between industry and academic experts. The positive feedback from the audience underscored the value of these conversations, highlighting the importance of collaboration in advancing AI for cybersecurity.

Expanding Networks and Collaborations

The success of the event was evident from the widespread coverage on social media platforms and the publication of the event recording on YouTube. This exposure has not only expanded my professional network but also strengthened the relationship between industry and academia. The connections made at the event have opened up new opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, benefiting both my colleagues and the Institute at King’s College London.
