{"id":919,"date":"2017-06-26T13:49:35","date_gmt":"2017-06-26T13:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/?p=919"},"modified":"2024-09-29T11:06:40","modified_gmt":"2024-09-29T11:06:40","slug":"full-paper-on-frame-based-editing-out-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/2017\/06\/26\/full-paper-on-frame-based-editing-out-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Full paper on Frame-Based Editing out now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We (that is: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/neilccbrown\">Neil<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AmjadAltadmri\">Amjad<\/a> and I) have worked on Stride and its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenfoot.org\/frames\/\">frame-based editor<\/a> for about four years now, and there is a lot of work in it.<\/p>\n<p>First, <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/stride\/\">Stride<\/a> was designed and released as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenfoot.org\/\">Greenfoot<\/a>, and we wrote a <a href=\"https:\/\/kar.kent.ac.uk\/50406\/\">few<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/kar.kent.ac.uk\/54776\/\">smaller<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/kar.kent.ac.uk\/56259\/\">papers<\/a> about specific aspects of use cases around Stride. Then, more recently, we also incorporated Stride into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluej.org\">BlueJ<\/a>, making the new frame-based editor available to a much larger audience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-920\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/192\/files\/2017\/06\/Fig-3-1024x653.png\" alt=\"Frame editor\" width=\"584\" height=\"372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/files\/2017\/06\/Fig-3-1024x653.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/files\/2017\/06\/Fig-3-100x64.png 100w, https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/files\/2017\/06\/Fig-3-200x128.png 200w, https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/files\/2017\/06\/Fig-3-470x300.png 470w, https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/files\/2017\/06\/Fig-3.png 1253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/>In parallel, we have worked on a comprehensive paper, describing the design ideas and rationale behind many of the detailed aspects.
