They are\u00a0two Dells, each with 12 cores (24threads), 32G RAM, 2x 500G HD to mirror OS and 4x 2TB HD to get a 6TB Raid 5.<\/p>\n<p>In the picture are actually three machines: The two Blackboxes are at the top. Below that, somewhat smaller, is a new server for our research group. Currently, we are running one machine that serves the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bluej.org\/\">BlueJ<\/a> website, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenfoot.org\/\">Greenfoot<\/a> website (including the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenfoot.org\/home\">Greenfoot Gallery<\/a>), the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenroom.greenfoot.org\/\">Greenroom<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/blueroom.bluej.org\/\">Blueroom<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.computingatschool.org.uk\/\">CAS public website<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/community.computingatschool.org.uk\/\">CAS Online<\/a> site, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bluej.org\/objects-first\/\">two<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenfoot.org\/book\/\">book<\/a> websites, our source repositories (subversion) for BlueJ, Greenfoot, and other projects, our <a href=\"http:\/\/bugs.bluej.org\/trac\/\">trac site<\/a>, various mailing lists, and a whole lot more. And all that on a machine that&#8217;s about seven years old with a whopping 2GB of memory \u2014 my laptop has twice as much!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here they are: These are the two servers that will run the Blackbox project.
