{"id":297,"date":"2010-11-19T12:00:05","date_gmt":"2010-11-19T12:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/mik\/?p=297"},"modified":"2020-05-15T15:45:57","modified_gmt":"2020-05-15T15:45:57","slug":"greenfoot-wins-2010-premier-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kcl.ac.uk\/proged\/2010\/11\/19\/greenfoot-wins-2010-premier-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Greenfoot wins 2010 Premier Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are very happy to hear that Greenfoot was\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.k-grayengineeringeducation.com\/blog\/index.php\/2010\/10\/29\/2010-premier-courseware-award-winners\/\">awarded<\/a> the 2010 Premier Award for Excellence in Engineering Education Courseware, a prize given to systems that show &#8220;high-quality, engaging, non-commercial learning innovations designed to enhance engineering education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Two systems are chosen annually by Engineering Pathway to receive\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.engineeringpathway.com\/ep\/premier\/\">the Premier Award<\/a>, a prize that marks outstanding contributions in engineering software.\u00a0Ian and\u00a0Davin from our team made the trip to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fie-conference.org\/fie2010\/\">Frontiers in Education Conference<\/a> in Washington, D.C., to receive the award at a special &#8220;Premier Award Ceremony&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second award that Greenfoot has received (after winning the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.java.com\/en\/dukeschoice\/07winners.jsp\">Duke&#8217;s Choice Award<\/a> in 2007). But, of course, we don&#8217;t do all this for the awards.
