As part of our <\/span>new blog<\/span> series, we have compiled some testimonials from students about their experiences studying abroad and with the Global Mobility Office. Student: Jessica\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Subject: Modern Languages (French and Spanish)\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

As part of her <\/span>M<\/span>odern <\/span>L<\/span>anguages degree, Jessica <\/span>was required<\/span> to <\/span>spend time<\/span> studying in a French-language <\/span><\/span>institution, giving her a chance <\/span>to put<\/span> her learning into practice. She made the most of <\/span>Sor<\/span>bonne<\/span> University<\/span>\u2019s vast academic offerings, taking a class on Paris in the 1600<\/span>s and<\/span> the history of France\u2019s royal family. Jessica felt she was easily able to <\/span>t<\/span>ailor <\/span>her year<\/span> abroad experience, getting chances to learn more about subjects that interested<\/span> her<\/span>, particularly French <\/span>history<\/span> and culture.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>In her spare time, Jessica took advantage of <\/span>Sor<\/span>bonne<\/span> University<\/span>\u2019s location and explored Paris, visiting the Catacombs, the Pantheon, the French War Museum, the Paris National <\/span>Opera, the<\/span> Louvre, and many other exhibitions and institutions dedicated to famous French figures. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>This experience left her feeling extremely glad to have been able to study abroad, and thoroughly recommends the experience to anyone interested in learning more about other cultures and nations.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
