Undergraduate Bursary opportunity for ecology careers development!

Applications are now open to undergraduates for the Span Trust Next Generation Bursary administered by the British Ecological Society.

Bursary awardees will receive an equivalent of £2,250 of career development support including:

  • £1,250 funds to use on equipment, training, work experience placements, and anything awardees feel benefits their career development
  • Careers coaching and networking opportunities with BES staff and ecologists
  • Training events with BES staff and ecological partners
  • Attendance at BES ecology conference

 

The Span Trust are particularly seeking applicants from low-income backgrounds, those who are currently experiencing financial hardship, and individuals from communities typically underrepresented in the ecology careers sector. Applicants must be under the age of 26 and pursuing a career in ecology or related areas (such as, but not limited to, biology, zoology, environmental sciences and natural sciences).  You can see full details of the Bursary and what awardees will receive on their webpage here

Applications are accepted until 1st March 12:00 GMT where you can apply online by filling out a digital paper form via their website.
