Each year, the College presents an award to an overall winner of the Supervisory Excellence Awards (SEA) and for this year it was agreed that the College award will go to Dr Mohammad Shikh-Bahaei from the School of Natural & Mathematical Sciences. Dr Shikh-Bahaei will be presented with his award at the King’s Award Ceremony on the 27th November. On behalf of the Graduate School, we’d like to congratulate him on his outstanding achievement. He and his fellow SEA winners for the 2013/14 academic year will also be presented with a certificate at the graduation ceremonies in January.
Nominations are now invited from Postgraduate Research Students for the 2014/15 Supervisory Excellence Awards at King’s College London. So if you have received excellent supervision at King’s, let us know!
The aim of this college-wide scheme is to recognise the important role that supervisors play in the success of their postgraduate research students, and to reward excellence in supervisory practice.
Each Faculty/Institute at King’s may receive an award worth up to £1000, which can either be awarded to one supervisor or split between two supervisors within the same School/Institute. Winners of an award will also have the opportunity to receive recognition of their achievements at a College Graduation Ceremony.
If you have a supervisor who inspires you, is encouraging and supportive of your research and who goes the extra mile to ensure that you succeed in your degree, this is your chance to acknowledge their efforts and to show your support towards the excellent job that he/she has done for you.
You have until Friday 12 December to submit your nominations though an online nomination form.
