Student Officer Nominations Now Open

KCLSU Student Officer Elections 2016Student Officer Nominations are open from now until 5pm, Monday 22 February. Make sure Postgraduates get the representation they deserve by nominating yourself for one of the five Student Officer positions.

  • KCLSU President
  • Vice President for Education (Health)
  • Vice President for Education (Arts & Sciences)
  • Vice President for Activities and Development
  • Vice President for Welfare and Community

These are full-time positions with a salary of £23,063 and access to powers such as time, funding, support, training, development, connections at King’s, and more to help lead KCLSU and make a real impact for all postgraduate students. For example, Officers successfully helped students get 24 hour library openings and halved the number of academics that faced redundancies across the Health Schools.

In addition to representing fellow students, it’s a terrific opportunity to make valuable connections at King’s and sit on the Trustee Board of a multi-million pound charity.

You can check out the full role descriptions for each position in our Elections Guide, which also explains the election process and goes into specific detail about how it’s possible for Postgraduates to be Officers!

So if you’re interested in standing, have a chat with Chris from KCLSU’s Student Voice Team by calling 020 7848 4588 or emailing chris.bull@kclsu.org. If you’re not interested in standing, you can still recommend a candidate who’d be good for the job.
