Paid Academic Practice Opportunities with King’s Experience

King’s Experience is offering paid academic practice opportunities to postgraduates at King’s in 2013-14.

King’s Experience is overseeing the assessment of three non-academic credit bearing awards in 2013-14: the King’s Global Award and the King’s London Award (both run by King’s Experience), and the King’s Leadership Award (run by King’s Experience in partnership with KCLSU and the Careers dept).

The role involves marking assessments. Training will be provided. Furthermore, the role attracts a payment of £300.

The two training sessions scheduled for 2013-14 are on 6 November 2013, and 5 February 2014, and you will need to be available for one of these dates.

King’s Awards are innovative. For example participants on the King’s Global Award and King’s London Award can submit an essay for their assessment but they can also submit a business plan, or an academic poster, or publish a website. A receptive approach to innovative assessments will therefore be an asset for this role.

If you are interested in taking up this opportunity provided by King’s Experience, please visit their website for more details (http://www.kcl.ac.uk/kep). The website is where you can also download the application form, including the essential and desirable criteria for the role. The deadline for applications is Friday 4th October 2013.
