Core Code of Practice & Handbook for Supervisors

The Core Code of Practice for Postgraduate Research Degrees and the Handbook for Supervisors for 2014-15 are now available online.

The Core Code sets out our institutional policy on good practice in all matters relating to postgraduate research students. A PDF version is available here, or for a hard copy get in touch with your Faculty’s professional services team or the Graduate School.

The Handbook for Supervisors is designed to provide academic staff with the guidance and information that they need to guide students to a timely and successful submission of their PhD thesis. A hard copy of this document is made available to all new supervisors at the compulsory training sessions run by the Research Development Unit. Copies can also be obtained from your Faculty’s professional services team or the Graduate School. The PDF version is available here.

photoA fresh batch of (very yellow) hard copy versions of this year’s Core Code of Practice for Postgraduate Research Degrees have now been sent to schools. The handbook is made available to all students and is the central statement of what you can expect, how we manage research degrees at King’s and how and when your progress will be monitored.
