Due to the rip-roaring success of the PGR Social Mixer that was held in September this year, the King’s Doctoral Students Association (KDSA) have organised a free Christmas party for all PGR students across King’s College London.

Please come along to Guy’s Bar & Café on Friday, 16th December from 7:30pm to finish the autumn semester in style!

Timetable & Travel for Take Time Out Event

We’ve checked the weather and so far (fingers crossed) the forecast is looking good for Thursday’s Take Time Out Event. Over 220 research students, supervisors, postdoctoral fellows and King’s staff have already signed up via the Eventbrite page, so make sure you don’t miss out!

King’s Sport and the Graduate School have organised a summer fête-style afternoon with stalls, a BBQ, fun activities, wellness sessions and team sports. Check out the timetable below for details of what will be happening throughout the day:

Come rain or shine the event will be going ahead and there will be plenty to do inside if it does start raining during the course of the afternoon.

How to get there
Honor Oak Park Sportsground is just a short walk from Honor Oak Park Station. The station is served by trains from London Bridge and is also on the London Overground network. Plan your journey to Honor Oak Park station.

Turn left out of the station and walk down Honor Oak Park Road. Continue over the cross roads with Stondon Park Road a short distance until you reach Brockley Rise. Turn left onto Brockley Rise and walk downhill 200m. The sports ground is located on the right-hand side past the primary school.

Love Cricket? Play for the KCLA Cricket Club

FThe KCLA Cricket Club is looking for new postgraduate players (men or women) to join the club. Open to alumni, staff and postgrads, all standards are welcome, so whether you are experienced or someone new to the game, it is a great opportunity to play some cricket in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

We play 35-over friendly matches along with some T20 games on Wednesday afternoons throughout the summer from April to September against a variety of oppositions, including typically UCL, LSE, Goldsmith’s, Thames Valley University, some civil service teams and other cricket clubs.

35-over fixtures start at 2pm, whilst T20s start at 6.30pm. Home games are played at the LSE Sportsground, Windsor Ave, KT3 5HB (next to the KCL New Malden Sportsground, and minutes from Berrylands station).
