Towards Gender Equity in STEM Careers

ScienceGrrl www.sciencegrrl.co.uk (a network promoting and supporting women in STEM) are holding a breakfast networking event on Tuesday 16th July, 8.15am – 9.30am (with extending networking until 10am) hosted by Arup (8 Fitzroy Street, W1T 4BQ).

The event will examine obstacles faced by women and girls in STEM and will feed directly into their upcoming report ‘Towards Gender Equity in STEM Careers’. The report has been commissioned by Peter Luff, MP www.peterluff.org.uk with industry backing.

Dr Frances Saunders (President-Elect, Institute of Physics) will be delivering the Keynote Address, with the hope of a lively morning of round-table discussions to follow! A varied audience is expected including representatives from their industrial sponsors, academics & policy makers – and people at different stages of their education and careers.
