The Economic & Social Research Council has awarded KISS-DTC £50,000 for interdisciplinary activity, and we are committing a substantial portion of this to the development of doctoral training at the interface of social science with the natural, mathematical, environmental and health sciences.
As part of this initiative, KISS-DTC invites applications for funding of up to £4000 to support innovative doctoral training activities focusing on this interface. We aim to make at least four awards, and applications should:
- be explicit about their approach to training
- engage doctoral students and postdoctoral staff in more than one KCL department and/or School
- demonstrate that the plan is a significant development beyond existing activity
- show clear follow-on potential.
The deadline for submission is: 29 NOVEMBER 2013
The Review Panel will be principally drawn from the KISS DTC Strategic Advisory Board, and successful bids will be notified before the end of the autumn term. The application form can be found at http://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/pg/school/dtc/societyandscience.aspx
