On Monday 14th October there is an opportunity to take part in a forum exploring careers within the Civil Service. Three Civil Servants at various stages of their careers, will talk about their experiences on the Fast Stream scheme. We will examine how the notoriously rigorous recruitment process works, the competencies they are looking for, and how these are assessed. There will be the opportunity to take part in group exercise similar to that used in the Fast Stream selection process.
This event is taking place on Monday 14th October 2013, 6pm -8pm, Strand Campus, Room K -1.55
Later the same week the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are visiting King’s. They are particularly keen to attract UK students from ethnic minorities, but all are welcome to come along and learn about life and careers in the FCO.
This event is taking place on Friday 18th October 3pm , 1.67 Franklin Wilkins Building, Waterloo Campus
It is worth noting citizens of the EEA and the Commonwealth are eligible to apply for most roles within the Civil Service, though the FCO only accept applications from British nationals.
