Information from KCL Think Tank Society:
‘Careers in Public Policy Week – Working for a Think Tank
(please see their website for other events this week – link in text below).
As some of you may know this up coming week Monday 28th January – Friday 1st February marks Careers in Public Policy Week. Jointly organised by the King’s College Careers service, KCL Think Tank, KCL Politics Society and KCL MUN Public Policy Week will provide a series of events, workshops and networking events for any who are interested in a career in politics or public policy.
The first event of this exciting week is organised by the KCL Think Tank, the aim of this event is to answer any questions society students may have on how to enter a think tank, what kind of work to expect and why it is a valuable career path. The event will start as a regular presentation where panellists can each present their own think tank and present their current position and their areas of expertise. The panellists will also shed some light on their previous experience and how they entered the think tank world, as to make students aware of the various routes into the profession. Lastly, the presentations will also touch upon some of the necessary skills to work in a think tank.
The event will be followed by a wine reception, which provides a great opportunity for networking with our speakers.
