LBN Career Track presents:

“Careers in Life Sciences: Bench & Business”

Friday 26th March 2010

Birkbeck College, Bloomsbury, London

As a world renowned centre of excellence, London and the UK produce some of the best talent in the world in the life science sector. Following BSc, PhD or Post-Doc there are a multitude of career paths available to scientists – these can be at the lab bench or moving into the business side.

LBN Career Track was established with LDA support in order to provide graduates, PhD students and Post-Docs with some hands on information about various careers, what the day job is, how to get started and so on.

But it’s not all about skills! Employers told us that job applicants would be more employable if they understood more about the drug discovery process, industry trends and pressures, international perspectives and business awareness, so we try and address this also to provide a rounded forum, not a simple careers fair
