Joining the King\u2019s student community feels like joining one big, diverse and vibrant family<\/strong>, and being a student at King\u2019s comes with endless opportunities and benefits. There are so many ways to get involved, meet new people and gain new experiences. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you do get the chance to live in London while studying at King\u2019s, you can enjoy student travel options and discounts<\/a>, lots of different events<\/a> to cater for any of your interests and the plethora of enrichment<\/a> <\/strong>London as to offer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a student at the IoPPN, you are automatically a member of King\u2019s College London Students\u2019 Union (KCLSU)<\/a>. KCLSU supports us through organising social, sporting and cultural <\/strong>activities, providing opportunities to develop<\/strong> our skills, have our voices heard<\/strong> as well as receive the advice and guidance<\/strong><\/a> we need. No matter where your interest lies, there\u2019ll be a club or society<\/a> for you, whether it\u2019s baking<\/a>, Bhangra<\/a> or bowling<\/a>! There is something for everyone<\/strong>, you can hop into sports<\/a> clubs, societies, volunteering opportunities, student media and campaigning groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the Neuroscience<\/a> and Open Minds<\/a> societies, I have been able get stuck in and attend some really interesting and thought-provoking events and talks<\/strong>, and even deliver some talks of my own through volunteering<\/strong> and holding mental health and stigma related teaching sessions. As a member of the King\u2019s 100, a diverse group of 100 students, reflective of the King\u2019s community, I have been able to co-create with the university and input on student experience projects and initiatives. And as a student ambassador, I have met and connected with so many people in a fun and creative way, even from home! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you like eating and shopping<\/strong>, like me, you\u2019ll be spoilt for choice at King\u2019s. KCLSU offer three awesome bars which host karaoke, quiz and curry nights: The Vault<\/a> and Philosophy Bar<\/a> on the Strand Campus and Guy\u2019s Bar<\/a> on Guy\u2019s Campus. We also have two cafes, The Shack<\/a> caf\u00e9 can be found on the Strand Campus and The Shed<\/a> is located on Guy\u2019s Campus, with lots of hot drinks, space to chill and study, and most importantly, delicious food. If you\u2019re into representing your uni by wearing King\u2019s branded clothing<\/strong> and accessories, obsessed with stationary<\/strong>, looking for gifts<\/strong> or sustainable, plastic-free products<\/strong>, you can visit The Union Shop<\/a> on the Strand Campus or Nought<\/a> on Guy\u2019s Campus (for those times where you need to treat yourself).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
