There are many opportunities at KCL ranging\nfrom clubs, sport, mental health support, and career support for students to\ntake advantage of. One of the first places for students to take a look at for\nopportunities is KCLSU<\/a>. On the KCLSU\nwebsite students can find information for student groups, volunteering, events\ntaking place on campus, and the advice lines. Some of events which are\nadvertised on the KCLSU website include leadership masterclasses ranging in\ntopics like active allyship, active planning, and building communities. These\nmasterclasses are a great way to students to help build interpersonal skills\nand continue their education outside of the classroom, and they also look great\non CVs too! Other types of events offered on KCLSU include inter-university\nwebinars, workshops, and projects. Currently, a digital initiative called\nProjectX is underway where students are able to come together to participate in\na range of events and competitions focused on showcasing student talent. Coming\nup soon is the inter-university Coding Hackathon where students from many\nuniversities the opportunity\nto collaborate with each other to enhance their analytical and software\ndevelopment skills by sharing design methodologies, software libraries, and app\ndevelopment best practices gained at their home universities. King\u2019s Edge<\/a> is another opportunity which can be\nfound via KCLSU, and it is a programme of extracurricular initiatives including\ninternships, volunteering opportunities, language courses, and community\norganizing which all meant to help students increase their transferrable skills\nand their experiences here at KCL. BeActive and Move YourMind are also\nwonderful opportunities for students to remain active during their studies and\nto check in with their mental well-being as well in a positive environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

King\u2019s Careers and\nEmployability also offers a wide range of opportunities for students. From CVs,\ncover letters, and interview help King\u2019s Careers and Employability is there to\nhelp! With advisors on standby open for appointments and a host of webinars\naimed at helping students prepare for life after their degree, there is\nsomething for everyone. King\u2019s Careers and Employability also is connected to\nKing\u2019s Connect which is a great platform to help students find job\nopportunities and network with alumni! The King\u2019s Connect platform along with\npartnerships with other job sites allows students to take advantage of all the\njob market has to offer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nAnother opportunity KCL\nprovides its students is access to a personal tutor.<\/a> Personal tutors are given to each\nstudent and are an academic member of staff in your area. They are able to\nprovide help with course material, as well as offering students someone to\nspeak to about any concerns, struggles, or achievements students may experience\nwhile on their course. This one-on-one time with a member of staff is\nirreplaceable and personal tutors can be a huge help with all things related to\nyour course and overall experience at KCL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Principal\u2019s Global Leadership Award<\/a> is yet another opportunity offered\nto PG students at Kings. The PGLA is a module focused on developing, enhancing,\nand curating introspective and critical leaders ready to take on the issues of\ntoday. The PGLA is a young programme offered by the school of Global Affairs\nwhich helps PG students from all backgrounds build a strong foundation in\nleadership through case studies and discussions every week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
