Based in the Policy Institute at King’s College London, the International Centre for Security Analysis (ICSA) carries out multidisciplinary academic and policy research on international security issues. Our work currently concentrates on the three main areas:
- The theory and practice of open source intelligence (OSINT) and social media intelligence (SOCMINT)
- The non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), nuclear safeguards, nuclear security and nuclear terrorism
- Regional security issues in North Africa, the Middle East, East Asia and South America
ICSA is also developing a capability in the research and analysis of organised crime and the role of open source intelligence in identifying and responding to organised crime.
