King’s Sustainability Internship
The Sustainability Team Internship offers current or former King’s College London students an opportunity to work as part of the Sustainability Team with the aim of embedding sustainability into the University’s activities.
The Sustainability Team is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate at King’s College London. Estates and Facilities has a broad portfolio of responsibilities which range from daily cleaning and mail services to delivering major building projects and creating and sustaining a safe and healthy working environment for staff and students.
Projects are varied and include looking at energy use in laboratories, sustainable procurement, staff and student engagement, organising events, monitoring utility spend, delivering carbon reduction projects, implementing a sustainable food policy, or supporting the environmental management system to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation.
Over the 2016/2017 academic year we will be posting profiles of alumni of the Sustainability Internship. Previous graduates of the internship have all gone on to work on issues relating to sustainability in both the private and public sector.
