What

One image from a set of World War One 3-D stereoscopic views, chiefly of the Western Front (many of them clearly staged reconstructions), published by Realistic Travels, c 1920. Original caption reads ‘A Bosche sniper worries the Seaforths, who are snatching an hour’s respite with their mascot’. The collection also includes the original hand-held viewer for the photographic cards.

Why

Just love this picture.  With everything going on they just can’t stand to be without the dog that looks like he’s thinking ‘Here We Go Again’ with his head up in the air.
