Meet the team
Michael Flavin, Head of Curriculum Innovation
Michael provides leadership and strategic direction for co-curricular learning at King’s. He holds a degree in English, two master’s degrees (one in English and one in Education), and two doctorates (one in nineteenth-century literature and culture, and one in technology-enhanced learning). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Michael holds overall responsibility for the King’s Experience Global Award, London Award, Interdisciplinary Award, Research Award, and for the King’s Undergraduate Research Fellowships and the Student Opportunity Fund. He also teaches on postgraduate modules at King’s. He is the author of two books and numerous articles.

Andy Boynton, Project Officer
Andrew is one of the Project Officers and he is responsible for engaging with students and academics and encouraging their participation in King’s Experience opportunities. His role includes leading on recruitment and administration as well as marketing and evaluating the schemes that we offer.
He has previously worked at two other Higher Education Institutions. At the University of West London he worked in compliance and his responsibilities included, investigating student complaints, responding to Freedom of Information requests and running enrolment events for international students. Whilst at Oxford Brookes University he worked in marketing, where he was involved in creating social media campaigns, running open day events and updating the Business School website.

Agi Szebelledi, Project Officer
Agi oversees the day-to-day running of the co-curricular opportunities. In her role, she is responsible for planning, marketing and administering the schemes, and communicating with students and academics.
Agi graduated in English Studies in 2014. She has a special interest in education and languages.

Charles Kasule, King’s Experience E-Learning Content Developer
As the E-Learning Content Developer Charles leads and supports technology-enhanced learning (TEL) for all the King’s Experience awards and fellowships. Charles recently studied on an MSc in Learning Technologies at Birkbeck College and completed his undergraduate Honors Degree in Computer Science at The London Metropolitan University.
Previously working in the King’s Learning Institute, he supported academic programmes, partnering on internal/external projects and maintaining various web areas across the college. He works with students, academics and other internal departmental colleagues to create engaging spaces and activities that will better the student learning experience.
He promotes the use of various learning technologies, using online web platforms and tools to enhance and support students with their learning through a blended approach. He is happy to be able to extend and use his experience with TEL to increase collaborative learning and engage students through online learning spaces.
