The King’s ‘Thriving, not surviving’ lecture series is a new initiative which aims to highlight the importance of your own well-being and to help you thrive in doing whatever it is you do!

The first lecture is all about the importance of managing your energy and how a few simple changes can help lower stress, increase your happiness and enhance your overall wellbeing.

Winter Wellbeing Crafternoon

Whether you have embraced the festive spirit, or are you looking for your chance too, we have an event for you!

On 9 December, the wellbeing team is hosting their Winter Wellbeing Crafternoon. It promises to be a fun and relaxing afternoon where you can do festive crafts, drink hot chocolate, and eat mince pies. Plus, there is even a chance to win free gym membership for a month and much more …

The next Winter Wellbeing Crafternoon will take place on 9 December 2016, from 13:30 till 16:30pm, in the Macadam Lobby at the Strand Campus.

Research Student Wellbeing Days: 20 & 21 October

On 20th and 21st October 2016, postgraduate research students can enjoy a host of free activities, offering you a chance to relax, have fun and meet other doctoral students from around the university. Free food and drink will also be provided.

Tutu’s Macadam Building, Strand Campus

10:00 – 11:00      Yoga
15:00 – 17:00      A range of Recreational Activities & Wellbeing Stalls/Workshops
17:00 – 19:00      Mixer with Free Food & Drink (served in The Terrace)

These events are offered specifically for postgraduate research students and have been organised by the Graduate School, together with King’s Sport and the Wellbeing Team, as part of the wider King’s Wellbeing Week.

We believe that there are tangible benefits for all of us to adopt life choices that make us fitter, healthier, happier and better equipped to undertake our research successfully.

Launch of King’s Wellbeing

Hello everyone! We are King’s Wellbeing and we are delighted to have launched on the 8th of February with five weeks of outreach activities and interactive workshops on all campuses.  Each week is dedicated to one aspect of the King’s Way to Wellbeing:

Our aim is simple: to support you to develop the skills to go through university, and life, as happily and healthily as possible and to reach your potential.  To help you on your way, the service offers drop-ins, one-to-one coaching, workshops and wellbeing-related events throughout the academic year.
