The conference will run 4-7 April 2018 inclusive. Projected conference registration costs are as follows:
For early bird registrations made by 15 January 2018:
- £160.00 standard rate
- £80.00 student/ECR rate
For registrations made from 16 January 2018
- £200.00 standard rate
- £120.00 student/ECR rate
Registration will close on 5 March 2018. The conference fee covers attendance throughout, with morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch each day. Breakfasts and dinners are not included in the registration cost.
Delegates will be able to book through this site from 15 November 2017. There will not be a dedicated conference hotel and delegates will choose and book their own accommodation. As with any major city, London has accommodation that ranges from budget to luxury and early reservation is strongly recommended. To assist in your accommodation planning, the conference will take place at the following venues which are all in central London:
- Daily panel sessions will be at King’s College London, Stamford Street, London, SE1 9NH.
- Two plenary lectures will take place at University College London, Bedford Way, Bloomsbury, London, WC1H 0AL.
- A reception hosted by the Eccles Centre for American Studies will take place at the world-famous British Library, Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB.
The venues at University College London and the British Library are approximately 35-45 minutes’ walk respectively from the panels or you can use bus, tube or taxi for quicker transfers.

The call for papers closes on 1 October 2017 and the conference committee will contact those who have submitted proposals by 22 November 2017 at the latest.
