Morwenna’s expertise lies in seventeenth-century drama, encompassing both the Early Modern and the Restoration stages. Her work is broadly concerned with the body and with bodily identity, particularly the ways in which it is built and rebuilt on the stage using props and prosthetics. Her AHRC-funded PhD at the University of Reading was awarded in 2015, and was followed by a postdoc at Lancaster University in collaboration with the Duchy of Lancaster. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Roehampton University in London. Morwenna has an article forthcoming in Early Theatre and a chapter in the forthcoming multidisciplinary Framing the Face, and is working on her first monograph Fluid Bodies on the Seventeenth-Century Stage.
